The West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou, comprising the West Lake and the hills surrounding its three sides, has inspired famous poets, scholars and artists since the 9th century. It comprises numerous temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens and ornamental trees, as well as causeways and artificial islands.

Hangzhou to Suzhou (B/L/D)
Tea plantation and visit tea farm. A tea culture experience by seeing tea picking and processing. The tea village is a part of West Lake's scenic area. It has a history of over 600 years. Situated among lush green hills, it is a rustic, natural scenic spot. Transfer to Suzhou after lunch. Suzhou is known as the Venice of the East because of its many waterways. The Grand Canal is the oldest and longest man-made waterway in the world.
Suzhou is famous for its gardens. Lingering Garden is an elaborate succession of small gardens. Lingering in a garden you will marvel at its unique architecture and art. Visit the most famous silk factory in China. To experience the making of silk products and learn about the Chinese history of silk culture.

Suzhou to Shanghai - Ancient Water Town (B/L)
Drive to Ancient Water Town in eastern part of Shanghai. Here is a beautiful town that seems like a completely different world from the hustle and bustle of Shanghai. Enjoy leisure afternoon, you could explore the Ancient Water Town on your own.
The largest commercial and financial centre, visit the Shanghai Nanjing walking district, and Shanghai museum to learn more about Shanghai's local culture and history. Visit the Bund by the Huangpu River, and experience the old and modern sides of the city.
