About the wines:
- Evans & Tate Gnangara WA Unwooded Chardonnay 2010
This Chardonnay is medium bodied, ultra refreshing, characterised by stonefruit aromas and flavours, and is drinking beautifully. A seamless acidity balanced with a luscious and juicy ripe yellow peach and nectarine notes. Hints of ripe melon and creamed honey add further fruit weight and complexity across the mid palate. This is an "unwooded" style, without the influence of oak barrel ageing, a pure Chardonnay fruit expression.
Evans & Tate are one of Australia's best known wine producers, hailing from Margaret River in Western Australia and pretty much single handedly helped people into classic dry white styles. Sourcing fruit from prime vineyards regions across Western Australia, the Evans & Tate Gnangara range has been a founding element in developing the winery's award-winning reputation for superb quality and excellent value.

Dark berry fruits, plums & chocolate on the nose. Bursting with juicy black berry fruits, classic Barossa spice, well-balanced and with soft approachable tannins. "Back to Back" refers to the synonymous relationship between grape-growing & winemaking. A true blue big Barossa Shiraz with a touch of class that sets it apart from the typical big brutes!
Peter Lehmann is a 5 star Halliday rated winery run by who many regard as the Baron of the Barossa valley, a title he richly deserves. He learnt his skill initially at Yalumba, then with Saltram prior to establishing his own label in 1979. The winery has a total focus on Barossa and all its history. Peter Lehmann won the International Wine & Spirit Competition in both 2003 and 2006. An Aussie Icon Brand, found of the shelves of almost every bottle shop and good restaurant.
