Southern Africa captivates everyone who is lucky enough to experience its power and magic. Situated in Mpumalanga Province in the ‘Wild Frontier’ region, the Royal Kruger Lodge is just beyond the Crocodile River and forms a natural border with the Kruger National Park. It is conveniently located 50 minutes from Mpumalanga International airport and a five hour drive from Johannesburg.

The wildlife thrives in this part of South Africa and boasts around 60 species of mammals, around 500 species of birds and numerous species of reptiles. Royal Kruger Lodge is home to animals including giraffe, buck, buffalo and zebras, which roam freely around the lodge and surrounding areas. Guests are often thrilled with unbelievably close and personal encounters, on the verandah, at the water hole, at the pool and during their bush orientation walks. They are afforded these rare opportunities due to the intimate boutique lodge size and low sound levels. Lions reside within short walking distance from the lodge, inside the Lionspruit reserve and can often be heard during our starlit Boma Dinners.

Guests are greeted by majestic African sunrises and sunsets, adding to the peace and tranquillity of the area, allowing one to relax and unwind when not participating in the adventure and excitement of our game drives and other activities.
