The Metropole Katoomba Guesthouse is centrally located in Katoomba, across from the Kingsford Smith Park and within walking distance to Katoomba railway station, the shopping centre and most major tourist attractions.

The Metropole is ideal for your holiday or short break with packages and rates to suit all budgets. Experience a cherished part of Blue Mountains history with a stay at The Metropole Katoomba. Step back to the charming 1930s and unwind in one of the antique loungerooms. Enjoy old-fashioned service in the dining room and licensed bar. Explore the library, relax in the gamesroom or snuggle up in front of cosy gas log fires.

Established in 1933, the Metropole offers the splendour of old world charm. The site of the Guesthouse was one of the first to be built upon in Katoomba. In 1880 a mountain home was built and was occupied by Rev. Barber. In 1930, Mrs Godsell purchased the property and the mountain home was demolished to make way for a New Metropole Katoomba Guesthouse that opened three years later. The Metropole today has been refurbished while still retaining much of the fine wood panelling and leadlight windows that were crafted in the 1930s for Mrs Godsell.
